Los Grammys Awards 2009 estuvieron lleno de sorpresas, destacando el dúo ganador de Robert Plant y Alison Krauss que se llevaron cinco galardones. Quien se llevó también tres premios fué Cold Play, con la Canción del año Viva la Vida ,Album de Rock y Actuación Pop Vocal de Dúo ó Grupo. Adele le ganó el duelo a los Jonas Brothers en el premio a Mejor Nuevo Artista y Juanes se llevó el premio a Mejor Album Pop Latino.
